Coffee With Lynne Silver

Rae: Thank you so much for hanging out with me today. If we were meeting at a coffee shop I’d be drinking a spiced latte with Coconut Milk. 🙂 ! What would you order?

Lynne: I’d order tea, but I’d want it to be hot cocoa.

Rae: As fall is finally here, do you have any traditions? Do you decorate the house with the change of season?

Lynne: My street tends to go all out for Halloween, and my family does also. We’ve got a lot of big decorations.

Rae: For those hanging out today that are not familiar with your work, you write about hot sexy nights in Miami, military romance, a few Alpha Heroes, standalone Contemporary and Historical. That’s a lot. How do you keep it all organized and prevent unexpected “visits” into other worlds.

Lynne: I tend to work on 1-2 projects at once, and all of them have a book bible to help me keep track of things.

Rae: Your Worthy Series has a realness to it, did you spend time in Miami to capture all those little details? Can we expect more books in this series? Other series?

Lynne: I grew up in Miami and my parents still live there. I go down several times a year. The Worthy series is really a love song to my hometown. I’m thinking that Javier and Gabriel will be getting stories. But not for a while.

Rae: I know that you love baseball, are you excited about where your team is heading into the playoffs?

Lynne: Of course I’m excited that the Nationals are NL East Division champs!!! Bring on October!

Rae: Can we expect to see any sports infused into your books?

Lynne: Unlikely. I like sports romances, but I think other authors have cornered that market.

Rae: When you are writing a book, do you plot it out page by page, chapter by chapter? Or, do your characters guide you?

Lynne: I plot out story beats and do character sketches. That’s about it.

Rae: What can we expect to see on the bookshelves in the upcoming months? Do you have any new series in the works that you can give us a tease?

Lynne: I have a story called The Breeder coming out in January with Carina Press’s Dirty Bits line. It’s set in a future dystopian America, and it’s definitely the dirtiest thing I’ve ever written. How’s that for a tease?

Rae: It was so much fun having you here today!

***** Tasty Tidbits *******

24. Fangirl moment – athlete, actor, singer…who and where? Dave Grohl at the Hard Rock hotel in Vegas. I followed him around the casino. He’s teeny- like I’d break him in half.

What It’s Worth by Lynne Silver

What It’s Worth by Lynne Silver

Escape to Miami in What It’s Worth by Lynne Silver. A bartender, a rock star blazing the tabloid headlines, and a plan so crazy it will change the lives of two people forever.

Bartender Carlos Acosta could’ve had any woman that walked into his bar, until a wild chick appears at his club. Now, he’s ruined for anyone else and their encounter is hot-hot-hot.

Dakota Starr needs to hush the tabloid rumors, or does she? A plan is in motion to set the record straight, will the sexy bartender help her or tell all to the waiting paparazzi?  Everyone has a price, who will fold first?

Are you ready for a world where trust, friendship, and the truth are essential like the oxygen we breathe?  Carlos and Dakota must prove their worth, to themselves, their family and each other. Can the attraction withstand the spotlight? Will they find love? Both will need to deal with family expectations, admitting their deepest desires, and be able to stand on their own to find love.

Lynne is a powerful writer that’s mastered the ability to bring us into a world that makes us feel everything, all at once, and crave more. Within this story her characters are layered with raw emotion, traditions, and the need to find their true north. It’s a perfect recipe that will make you laugh, cry, and melt before the last page.

Another sizzling story in just 20,000 words will ignite your e-reader. Yup. It’s a hot one.  3 JalepenosThis story sizzles, has content for mature readers 18 + and is very addictive ;). I received this ARC from the author for a fair and honest review.

Worthwhile (The Worthy Series) by Lynne Silver

Worthwhile (The Worthy Series) by Lynne Silver

Worthwhile by Lynne Silver is set in Miami where the nights are full of action with complex characters that are addictive and keep you reading till the very last page. This story has all the feels that make Miami sizzle. Get your party clothes on, the club is packed with music that will keep you dancing for hours, the men are hot, and the chemistry is even hotter.

Olivia Rodriguez comes from a family that is overprotective and controlling, in a loving-sorta-way. When an opportunity falls into Olivia’s lap, it forces her to make a choice that will involve risks and adventure. I love how daring Olivia is despite the environment she grew up in, and her ability to take a chance despite the consequences is admirable.

Drew Weaver must overcome the daemons that haunt him, and family expectations impact his choices. Can he separate the two? If not, he just might push away the one thing he wants. Drew will bring Olivia to her knees, how she responds depends on whether or not she’s ready to be honest. Will she start living life the way she desires?

The weekend is fast approaching and it’s time to add a lot of heat to your e-reader. With a dash of faith and a sprinkling of trust, this relationship promises to be intense and intoxicating. The infusion of language, culture and hotness that makes Miami so special adds to the essence of the story. It sizzles. Lynne’s writing leaves you wanting more and that’s a great thing because What It’s Worth just released and it’s time for more. You are worthy of reading this series and your e-reader will thank you!

Spice up your week with these must reads!

Crossing Hearts by Kimberly Kincaid is the first installment in a fresh new series that will leave you dreaming of sexy farmers. Yes, farmers are sexy ;).  If you have a passion for great cooking, enjoy characters with electric chemistry, and a huge helping of spice – one-click this book! If you are a fan of Kimberly’s firefighter series than you are going to LOVE her Cross Creek series. It’s time to get out of the city (sorry Station Seventeen) and escape to the Shenandoah.

Hunter Cross has always put his family first and when an old injury threatens to derail him from his job on the farm, he reluctantly seeks treatment. It’s what he doesn’t expect that sends his system into a tailspin and question, can he live with the pain?

Emerson Montgomery has worked hard to make something of her career, to be taken seriously and keep her reputation solid.  When an old flame resurfaces, can she keep the truth regarding her recent return to town under wraps? If her secret gets out, it just might destroy them both.

I’m looking forward to reading the next installment in this spicy must read. Secrets, family saga and small town goodness. I will confess one warning, you must read this after you have consumed a hearty meal 😉 Kimberly’s love of food is woven throughout this story. Between the fresh produce and home cooking you are bound to find yourself in a constant food coma – yum!
With the heat and intensity in this book I give it 3 Peppers as it’s pretty hot and might offend. For mature readers 18+3 Jalepenos

Check out this Excerpt:

“I’ve got a patient for you, so I thought I’d pop over to see if you have an opening today,” Doc Sanders said.

Emerson thought of her schedule, complete with the tumbleweeds blowing through its wide- open spaces, and bit back the urge to laugh with both excitement and irony. “I’m sure I can fit someone in. What’s the injury?”

“Rotator cuff. X-rays and MRI are complete, and Dr. Norris, the orthopedist in Camden Valley, ordered PT. But the patient is local, so I figured if you could take him, it’d be a win-win.”

“Of course.” An odd sensation plucked up Emerson’s spine at the long-buried memory of a blue-eyed high school boy with his arm in a sling and a smile that could melt her like butter in a cast-iron skillet. “Um, my schedule is pretty flexible. What time did he want to come in?”

“Actually, he’s a little anxious to get started, so he came directly here from the ortho’s office . . .”
Doc Sanders turned toward the hallway leading to her waiting room, where a figure had appeared in the doorframe. Emerson blinked, trying to get her brain to reconcile the free-flowing confusion between the boy in her memory and the man standing in front of her. The gray-blue eyes were the same, although a tiny bit more weathered around the edges, and weirdly, the sling was also a match. But the person staring back at her was a man, with rough edges and sex appeal for days, full of hard angles and harder muscles under his jeans and T-shirt . . .
Hunter Cross.

Emerson stood with her feet anchored to the linoleum, unable to move or speak or even breathe. For the smallest scrap of a second, she tumbled back in time, her heart pounding so hard beneath her crisp white button-down that surely the traitorous thing would jump right out of her chest.

A blanket of stars littering the August sky . . . the warm weight of Hunter’s varsity jacket wrapped around her shoulders . . . the warmer fit of his mouth on hers as the breeze carried his whispers, full of hope . . . “Don’t go to New York. Stay with me, Em. Marry me and stay here in Millhaven where we’ll always have this, just you and me . . .”
“Emerson? What . . . what the hell are you doing here?”

The deeper, definitely more rugged-around-the-edges version of his voice tipped the scales of her realization all the way into the present. She needed to say something, she knew, she knew, but her mouth had gone so dry that she’d have better luck rocketing to the moon in a paper airplane right now.

“I work here,” Emerson finally managed, the truth of the words—of what they meant—delivering her back to reality with a hard snap. She hadn’t returned to Millhaven for a jaunt down memory lane. Hell, she’d only come back when her process of elimination had dead-ended in total despair. She was here for one thing, and one thing only. To bury herself in as much work as her body would allow.
Even if her first client probably hated her guts.

Worthless by Lynne Silver is the second book in The Worthy series and is set in Miami. The perfect vacation destination you can one-click right now for $0.99. This intimate must read is even better than the first installment, and I LOVED Unworthy.

Danny Ross is a man with a dark past. Throughout all the ups and downs there has been one person who has stood by him. Will she have the strength to stay by his side this time?

Amy Stern was in love with Danny a long time ago. What’s a girl to do when her heart and mind have an epic battle? Is the devil you know better than the one you don’t? While she’s a savvy business woman, she finds herself in a compromising position that will require a leap of faith, a lot of trust and hopefully the happy ending she deserves.

Lynne crafts characters that gently sweep you into their world of friendships, love and even some that are awkward and taboo.  It’s real life, gritty, raw and emotionally unpredictable. Brace yourself dear reader, you will find yourself hooked from the first page and a devoted fan thereafter. This story is one that I waited patiently for after I finished Unworthy.

Everyone can use a hot escape for just a few hours. This three pepper spicy latte is a must read that sizzles. I have my fingers crossed on which character has their happy-ever-after next. It just has to be Lynne ;)!

Unworthy by Lynne Silver is a scorching hot Miami must read that will tug at every inch of your heart and leave you begging for more.

Cat Ross is strong, sassy and not interested in taking crap from anyone, including her childhood crush Ian Lawrence.  Ian is all grown up and still looks at Cat as his best friends younger sister. Will he push that aside and give in to his feelings?

Faced with life changing decisions Cat will need to decide if she can trust Ian and reveal the truth surrounding her need for employment and what really happened after high school?

Just in time for the holidays this must read tackles all the nuances of family, love and friendship. Lynne also revisits high school in a very tender and realistic way – what would you do with a second chance to redeem yourself?

If that’s not enough….the Thanksgiving Family dinner scene was fantastically written. I laughed and cried my way thought it with Cat.

This three pepper spicy latte sizzles and is a must read. I sat down to read it and did not move from the sofa till I clicked on the last page. I am in love with this series and hope that Cat’s brother Danny is the next hero….Lynne please tell me I don’t have to wait too long!
